Hello, lovely Readers!
Just a quick post today: life's speed has been hitting warp lately. I could swear yesterday was the third!
Speaking of the third, I'm currently rereading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban for what feels like the millionth time. It used to be my number one, hands down favorite, but lately all the angst, subplots, and tension in Order of the Phoenix have made it my favorite. It doesn't hurt that it's the longest in the series-- all the more pages to enjoy! :D
But while OotP is my current favorite, I still love PoA. Especially the chapter where Harry gets the Marauder's Map, discovers Hogsmeade, and finds out about Sirius being James's friend-- and his own godfather and supposedly his parents' traitor all at the same time. Such an action-packed chapter! And pivotal with both Harry getting the map and learning about Sirius as his godfather. And I particularly love the imagery of Harry crouching under the table at The Three Broomsticks and peering at all the professors' legs through the Christmas tree branches, clutching his Butterbeer as he hides, petrified that he might be caught. That sense of learning something you're not supposed to know by listening to adults talk adult things while being somewhere you shouldn't is something I find highly relatable-- and, I would think, many other people do, too. lol
I'm also getting really inspired by the book for making some Christmas products for my Etsy shop. I plan on sharing some peeks of it soon with y'all soon. I'm hoping to order the final products after I finish the designs for them-- I can't wait to share with you! xD I'm hoping you'll love the Potterness of it all as much as I do. <3
I also love the introduction of Crookshanks in this book (hello, blog title! xD); I've always wanted a fat, fluffy, clever, orange cat, so Crookshanks makes me very happy indeed. And I like that his Kneazle side makes a little more clever, too. Don't be surprised if one day I post a video showing that I've gotten a cat exactly like Crookshanks (minus the Kneazle, sadly), named it Crookshanks, and taught it to read or something. xD
Anywho, that's enough babbling on for now. I've got a great post coming up in two days for y'all for our Feminist Fridays discussions-- all about Halloween, cultural appropriation, and racism. It's gonna be a fun chat. :]
Hope you're all having a great week!
Until next time, fair Readers!
